Tony R. Skogen Jr., Esq
Tony R. Skogen, Jr. is dedicated to fighting against minimum
wage and overtime pay violations, with significant experience handling a wide
array of employment
and labor issues, including minimum wage violations, overtime violations,
missed meal and rest period violations, wage and hour class actions, age
discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual discrimination, disability
discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, retaliation, and other unfair
business practices.
Mr. Skogen's current litigation practice has been
complimented and enhanced by his experience in high profile complex consumer
and securities cases, where he focused on issues surrounding employee pension
fund mismanagement, corporate mismanagement, and anti-competition.
Significantly, Mr. Skogen co-managed a confirmatory discovery process in In re
Titan, Inc. Sec. Litig., Master File No. 04-CV-0676-LAB (S.D. Cal.) which led
to the approval of a $61.5 million dollar settlement
on behalf of the class.
Mr. Skogen also served as Counsel to the United States as a
legal adviser providing analysis and evaluation of the legal sufficiency of
actions and instruments dealing with obligating and disbursing home and
business disaster loans throughout the United States. In this capacity, Mr.
Skogen advised on issues involving borrower eligibility, permissible liens,
encumbrances, security instruments, property ownership
including proper vesting and conveyance, title opinions, trustor/trustee
issues, and corporate governance. Mr. Skogen served as a field agent/liaison
along the Gulf Coast in the aftermath of the Katrina, Wilma, and Rita
hurricanes.
While attending the University of San Diego School of Law, Mr. Skogen served as a Justice on the University's Honor Court and as Delegate to the American Bar Association National Conference in Washington D.C.

California and before the Southern United States District Court in California.
Mr. Skogen is also a member of the Labor and Employment
Section of the County Bar.

Mr. La Cues graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2004. He was the recipient of The Honorable Gerald Brown award for scholastic achievement. While attending USD School of Law, he studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain.
Mr. La Cues was admitted in 2004 to practice in the State of California. He is also admitted in the United States District Court, Central District and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the American Bar Association. Mr. LaCues’ practice emphasizes business litigation, commercial collections, personal injury and real estate law in state and federal courts.
